The game follows its heroine, (often translated as "真红玛瑙" or "Red Onyx"), as she fights through the dystopian streets of New Babylon. She must battle against gangs, crime syndicates, corrupt police, and the horrifying bio-engineered monstrosities of the Babel Corporation. The world is a homage to 1980s cyberpunk anime.
