What will v2.0 contain? That depends on the journeyers. As you walk the path, you will discover new dangers, new practices, new insights. Document them. Share them. The framework is alive.

The greatest risk is —the belief that you are the only real being and everyone else is literally an automaton. This leads to cruelty. It leads to the "murder hobo" mentality, where you treat people as objects because you have convinced yourself they have no feelings.

NPCs have emotional states. An NPC who has recently experienced a loss in the game world will be less receptive to frivolous chatter and more likely to engage in somber topics. Journeying in a World of NPCs -v1.0- -Nome-

Stay ordinary, – Nome

The protagonist often sees "stats" or "dialogue boxes" that others cannot.

If viewed as the subarctic outpost, Nome represents the literal edge of the map. It is a frozen, unforgiving landscape where the wilderness meets the sea. Starting a journey here means beginning at the absolute periphery of civilization, where the digital wind howls through empty, scripted corridors.
