One of the most significant bugs fixed was related to multiplayer functionality in Scadu Altus, the central region of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. The hotfix corrected a bug that blocked invasions in this area under certain circumstances. It also stopped an exploit that allowed cooperative multiplayer in specific zones where no area boss was present, bringing these areas back in line with intended design.

Perhaps most importantly for solo players, a bug was fixed where summoned spirits were not correctly receiving the attack and defense buffs from the Revered Spirit Ash Blessing . ⚔️ Context: The Legacy of v1.13

One of the most immediate changes players noticed in the update was a localized nerf to a specific Nameless Mausoleum encounter.

: Adjusted the Red Bear NPC, whose attack power was unintentionally high in certain scenarios. Expansion Overview: Shadow of the Erdtree

Reduced frame drops during the Divine Beast Dancing Lion boss fight on all platforms.

Technical Minimalism, Experiential Maximalism Patch numbering promises minimalism: a third decimal suggests incrementalism, caution, and stability. Yet even minimal technical changes can produce maximal experiential shifts. Latency fixes, collision adjustments, or altering a single parameter (stun frames, hitboxes) can transform entire boss fights and player emotions—turning despair into triumph or vice versa. v1.13.2’s numerical modesty belies the potential scale of its effects across weeks of play and thousands of human stories.

Even if you aren’t experiencing crashes, the anti-cheat false-positive fix and quest progression repair make this update mandatory for a smooth Shadow of the Erdtree experience. If you skip v1.13.2, you cannot play online (due to calibration mismatch).

The infamous "Shield Poker" meta takes a hit.
