Dr. John Dolittle (Eddie Murphy) has become world-famous for his ability to talk to animals. In this installment, he is called upon by the Godfather of the raccoons (a mobster parody character) to help save a forest from a logging company.

Dolittle recruits (voiced by Steve Zahn), a pampered, junk-food-loving circus bear, to become Ava's mate.
